Destitutes
DESTITUTES Decision making is an intrinsic part of our being Not that we are wise but mean Desperate for survival, we struggle daily We are young yet we do what adults do daily Sobbing, crying, kneeling, begging for food This daily routine became our mood. Never born with a silver spoon Not to talk of using a silver spoon Hardship is an emblem, like a trademark we carry its logo, stamped with its hallmark We eat what we have not what we want For our daily bread, we must hunt. The rich sees us as nothing Yet we make them something We run errands for them willingly and do their jobs speedily They never once cared if we exist but they know once we desist. We work than they do yet they gain than we do Always the last resort never a priority They flaunt their success claiming superiority We all suffer from inferiority complex Their ailment is superiority complex. Life is ironic indeed We have nothing, yet we take the lead All the things they never have, we do We have the leg, they have the shoe Not only do we own their private life They depend on us for their public life At first, they were objects of envy When we found out that the government will levy based on their outputs and income The envy decreased since we know the sum But unfortunately, they own us They ride us just like an horse. We are their ladders to success Yet when we talk, we make no sense We have goals and dreams to rule our world The only person we have is Jesus our Lord One day our voices will be heard and our words must be said. If only we can be helped Then the world will know we were led Not by spiritual forces but by our thirst for affluence, and being heard was a quest to show the rich how we can thrive Cos we all live to die and we die to live. © ho² 08036391290
