Why Do Stars Sparkle At Night
I look at the night sky in awe at the stars Wondering why they are there? Are they a celestial map for the angels Or are they signs to us from the divine? Are the stars there as an accident Or are they all there by design? Or are they actually just a creation of our own creative conscious mind? Why, oh why, do the stars sparkle in the night sky? Are they there just simply to be a twinkling collage? Dancing around Saturn's rings Light years from Mars, Signposts for aliens to find their way home in the dark After staggering out drunk from celestial bars? Why, oh why, do the stars sparkle in the night sky? Is it about quantum mechanics Or maybe astrological rhymes? Most are not new, they are as old as the arch of time, Though star field nurseries spawn newbies to join their display In their mystical, mystery portrait sparkling away Out there in what we know to us as cosmic space, In universal grace and I ask Why, oh why do stars sparkle in the night sky Forever this will always occupy my time and mind But the one thing I know for sure These stars are sublime And are a masterpiece in the dark night.
