Black

Poet: Ken Jordan
Poem: Black
Edited by: Sparkle Jordan

black black black

My skin is black

God created me
what I am -

Black/Strong
heart and soul -

Blacker than black
black as a moonless sky

black as midnight -
black as Indigo -
black as the Nile -

I'm proud to be
what
God made me -

black black black

My talk is black
My walk is black
My America, is black

Everything I do,
I do it black -

Black roots grow deep -
My family is black -

Africa black -

Congo black
Ethiopia black
Zulu black -

Blacker than black

black as midnight -
black as Indigo -
black as the Nile -

black black black

I'll be black until
the Ebony Universe,
disappears -

Yes,
black is what I am -
Blacker than black

Obsidian black

black as midnight -
black as Indigo -
black as the Nile -

BLACK!
