The Healing Power Of Dreams

For dreams, you see, can sometimes 
                       help to heal a mourning soul
In dreams, all living knows no end
                                        eternity is whole

The eyes of those departed
                         still connect in loving grace
And one can still bestow a kiss 
                                     upon a parted face

So often though I find myself  
                                      anticipating  sleep
Just hoping that I’ll dream again
                                   in memories to keep

For tears subside when I lay down
                            and finally close my eyes
And I can see and hear and feel
                        and touch without goodbyes
