Notes About The Poem

British petroleum persuaded their government to send military along with the American oil industry (Cia—agent provocateurs) to rally with money and organize trouble, then arrested the only democratically elected Persian/Iranian leader, for attempting to take back their own natural resource by nationalizing British petroleum which could’ve enriched Persia/Iran, then replaced by the Shaw. The Argonauts were 80 heroes who participated in the Argonautic Expedition, setting sail for the mythical land of Colchis under the command of their leader Jason, in order to find the legendary Golden Fleece.

Their golden fleece was our oil and ours to take ~ what could have been a different story, for God’s sake — Poet

Anaya, thank you for this one. In your comment, you refer to prime minister Mosaddegh, a person few Americans know about. Of course, all the Iranians do. History plays a role in our own personal relationships. Your recent poem about your own life explains how you were affected by things in your own life. Isn't it strange how our government and media look at our relationship to Iran in terms of the present only. There's plenty of blowback from the past and our misdeeds play a big role in it. BTW, I love how you use the Golden Fleece. Fleece has more than one meaning and you've made a brilliant poetic connection that deserves a lot of praise indeed. Smart you are! Smiles! I'm thinking how the root "argo" is also related to money and silver.

It all came together when sifting through mythology searches, the myth reminded me of Argo, as in the movie I researched into the history then was compelled to write especially during the current events. Isn't it a perfect connection, proud of it. Ty, for your bright insight, DB and lovely visit~

Anaya you've inspired me to carry your words a few steps further into a modest timely expose`, it even prompted me to add my voice like so many others do. Current events can trace their origins into long forgotten incidences and how we get to this point, this crisis in the Middle East. Thanks besti! Robert

T'was intended for the current events yes, Jason and The Argonauts mythology much like what occurred in our history and all for GREED, as I wrote of above the image~ Now we can look onward too early to tell what may occur, but DHS WARNS of Heightened terrorism...CYBER ATTACKS e.g. God help us!

"Operation Midnight Hammer" The strikes on Iran are unconstitutional and we should explain why; Trump admin., sent texts to the Rep's pre strikes and Dem's did not know until it happened, in other words, this is unlawful "Democrats Call For Congressional Vote On Trump's 'Illegal' War Against Iran" Congressional Democrats questioned the legality and strategy behind President Donald Trump’s decision to launch surprise military strikes against Iran on Saturday night, with some lawmakers going so far as to call for his impeachment. While Republican leaders and many rank-and-file GOP lawmakers stood by Trump’s bombing of Iran’s major nuclear enrichment facilities, Democrats condemned his actions and called for a vote under the War Powers Act, which limits military action without the consent of Congress. DHS warns of Heightened Attacks on USA...Cyber attacks e.g.! Oy vay~ let's pray!
