Senses

Sight, imagine if you had no visual awareness
What’s more detrumental,than constant darkness
But not knowing are you really indoors or outside
If you could not see relying on someone for a guide

Hearing, the rhythm of a beat is it though clear
If you bust an ear drum, I ask how would you hear
What one is saying ,take heed how do you manage
Having to lip read ,of course the use of sign language

Smell, of desire, a woman’s perfume, I like white musk
One thing I don't like in a room full of damp and dust
Having no sense of smell, appreciating what one sees
All these scents but can't tell only when we too sneeze

Taste, buds watering every hour we take for granted
What is sweet and sour, what’s good and really rancid
Food sometimes it's laced with garlic, sugar and spice
If we had no sense of taste, it's knowing bad from nice

Touch, a feeling of skin on skin what's rough and smooth
It invigorates the our senses within and that dose sooth
But no sense of touch what’s then worse than going blind
What would hurt so much if appreciating it in your mind






WRITTEN JUNE JULY 2012  INSPIERD BY THE FACT YEARS AGO
I HAD SERIOUS OPERATION TO LEFT EYE, 
HAD NO VISION FOR OVER A MONTH DUE TO ACCIDENT
SCARED THE LIFE OUT OF ME HAVING TO RELIE ON OTHER PEOPLE

 I THINK SOME THINGS PEOPLE DO TAKE FOR GRANTED ALSO MY NOSE
WAS BROKEN AT SAME TIME THAT AFFECTED BOTH MY TASTE AND SMELL
EVERYTHING TASTED THE SAME AND TOUCH I COULD NOT FEEL MY LEGS,

PERHAPS THE SHOCK ALSO YEARS BEFORE I WAS AT THE AGE OF TWELTH THIRTEEN
WHEN SMASHED MY HEAD OF POST HORSING AROUND AND LOST MY HEARING
FOR FEW DAYS DUE TO KNOCKING THE FLUID IN MY HEAD THAT IM TOLD

CONTROLS YOUR BALANCE THE FEELING KIND OF LIKE POKING YOUR EAR DRUM REPEATDLY
NOT NICE ALSO INSPIERD BY OTHER POEM ELEMENTS OF LIFE
Just trying here to give some insight into what it feels like not haveing these senses
