Purple Dreams in Other Realms
Once upon a magical evening an enchanted fairy I happened to see
dressed in a fantastical dress with two dappled wings of lace,
she shone like the midnight sun;
I must confess, she looked rather whimsical
sitting there by a green wooden door, waiting for your lore !
A vibrant purple aura surrounded the magical scene
to me it seemed that I was seeing a fairy queen
I went over and asked her
if I may sit by her side
but she led me through the wooden door painted green.
We were in the trunk of a very large oak tree
where fairies and elves lived together happily
they seemed eager to learn
of my life’s chronicle
so I told them of all the things from my memory.
They all said they had truly enjoyed the reminiscing
and offered me supper with all its trimmings
lots of goodies to eat
a magnificent spread
I ate so much my poor tummy was brimming.
Then they put on some music and we had a dance
the ambience was perfect for a romance
if it’s a purple dream
it’s the best dream I’ve dreamed
‘twas a night to remember, by happenchance.
