On Terra Firma In ITQ

The ocean's a drum fault and sheer;
to me, breakout from dark, this sphere,
that the sunk water lapsing veers —
hours of footprints away from here,

Missing this density timeless
with each sanddollar I will wreck,
for today I'm also in shreds —
in the foam, this form, it lays death.

Like as the deep deep, her I love,
and I loved still, her back to run —
her buoy pushed under, then gone,
only passing wind in seagulls

This kiss in and out seamouth's tide —
on water, moon's curled by her side.

This is exquisite, sorrow-soaked imagery--like grief rolled smooth by waves. "Each sanddollar I will wreck"--what a line. The whole poem feels like standing barefoot at the edge of mourning, tide pulling memories out with every curl. You write the sea like it knows your name.

Paige your poem greatly moved me; the grief described is tangible yet subtle - a paradox that is rare to see. You have a true gift, pal.

Your way with words is always so unique and so beautiful! I love the lines "Like as the deep deep, her I love, and I loved still, her back to run — her buoy pushed under, then gone, only passing wind in seagulls" so heart touching and so well articulated too! Absolutely loved reading this gem today! Sending you light always dear paige

Dear Paige, As I read I really felt your words flow like a haunting tide, carrying the weight of love, loss, and longing. Each line I could feel the pull of the ocean, powerful, inescapable, and beautifully melancholic. Stunningly evocative Paige. Winter Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel

Lovely poem delves into themes of love, grief, and the fleeting essence of existence, employing ocean imagery to represent emotional depth and relational complications. Well done Paige
