Anaya, I particularly like how you mention obsessive impulses. Self control is one of the founding principles of a democratic society. I also think you're right in that discussing the things that tend to overcome us can lead to better behavior. Poetry seems to me to be a way to mull over many of the things we have to deal with, and it can definitely equip us to deal with the challenges we face in life. As an aside, I've found that as I have set aside more time to consider things that bother me, I can understand what it is about me that I need to work on. This has led to a much happier disposition on things. Hope you are well and smiles!!

Y e s s, dear poet , poetry is part the therapy, of course we have to apply what we speak and let the reply's be the part where we may find the answers, if we ask the right questions (most important) i went off track, oh yes, remorse a big part of it, 'show it' sorry isn't enough , retaliation keeps on and on....
