After Twilight Spoke

The clouds once brushed against my skin,
I gathered the wind’s ascent within my breath.
Shadows lingered quietly inside me
then faded as the light drew near.

Silence spread like soft velvet
and light stepped in gently.
Twilight carried truth to me
quietly filling the hollow of lingering shadows.

Thank you so much Tom! I truly believe that light gently unveils what we’re meant to see—one truth at a time. I appreciate your kind words and presence.

Fantastic imagery. Sad, hopeful, then a delightful ending. It feels like lace spun - so delicate, one doesn’t know whether it will make it, then the definite stamp of truth at end. Love it. Xx

Thank you so much for your beautiful reflection—it means a lot to me. I love how you described it as lace spun, delicate yet certain. That balance of fragility and truth is exactly what I hoped to convey. Much love and light your way!

Greetings Rowena! There is such a sense of anxiety that is calmed by serenity in your poem. I loved the "velvet silence" and "light came near with gentle steps." These images are so beautifully written. Best wishes for Nette's contest. Blessings.
