Notes About The Poem

The Moon is the only other planetary body that humans have visited. On July 20, 1969, NASA astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin were the first people to set foot on the dusty surface of the Moon. Ten other American astronauts followed. They collected hundreds of pounds of lunar soil and rock samples, conducted experiments and installed equipment for follow-up measurements. Nasa

And once Buzz punched some fool in the nose for accusing him of never stepping foot on the moon.  Shame on you conspierists! You’re teaching nothing but lies to our youth and some middle agers to be!—Respect our astronauts—I Am Anaya

Such a wonderful haiku, dear Anaya. Very deeply crafted and showing many layers of imagery. In just a few syllables, you conveyed a profound thought. Best wishes

Ty, poetry is to get your feelings out, we're not promoting anything, this isn't a store. It's good theorapy to say what's needed, I was recently hinted that I was promoting violence, because I stand by our Astronaughts lol. Have a beautiful Memorial Day weekend!!

Wow to your Haiku. Read of many - only met one man who believed it was fake. We talked at a party, and he asked me out. I said no. I was thinking, 'I want a believer but not a believer in deceivers who thinks feeding conspiracies is a good time.' Pity, he was beautimous. I love the moon, the feel of knowing a missed one sees the same moon, the lady in the moon I've seen twice, its value in that which u & I don't talk about, the history it made & I watched, slept thru, when I was a child.

Yes! Oh my, Cay Cay, i love that its too bad, because he was unique, what a quality. That is so poetic "the feel of knowing a missed one sees the same moon" The moon She can be mysterious to us, the more i invest in Her the more i understand Luna. ;) I am so upset that the conspiracies are destroying respect for what truly made history, we are proud of them. These are the same guys that are spreading lies that the (Warsaw) Holocaust didn't happen. It's sad. I enjoy your visits, have a nice evening~
