BEV SMITH...SOUPS EQUESTRIAN RIDER! WOW

Melanie Smith Taylor's careful development of 'Calypso' allowed them to help the U.S. team earn gold in 1984 Olympics. Calypso jumped with the heart of a lion, with total trust that his rider believed in him and would never ask anything of him that wasn’t within his ability to achieve.

Bev's photo above reminds me of Melanie and Calypso, oh so long ago, practicing at Melanie's Wildwood Farm.

FINALLY I GOT MELANIE'S BARN! WOW...A STUNNER FOR SURE!

Indeed it does not! We took another avenue of boating and our travels took us to the Bahamas, Treasure Cay, Isla Mujeres and pretty much everywhere for 20 years...Loved it and so did family, life was good but as you say, it is a love that never leaves us! Thanks for stopping....

Oh...I am so envious. Poetry in motion. Thanks for sharing this, Judy. I often go on Pinterest and drool at all the fantastic horses. Our visit to Castlehyde Stud in Ireland was the highlight of our trip. Michael Flatley from Riverdance converted the castle nearby into a luxury hotel. So many wonderful things to see in this world. oops forgot to say Melanie is from my hometown Germantown, Tennessee and my mom and Melanie's mom miss smith as I called her were good friends...Miss smith use to give away ponies for each Germantown Horse show...life is good....

Click on Melanie Smith Taylor she won the US Equestrian Gold Medal beating out Michael Matz. Bev reminds me of Melanie as she sits gracefully atop her mount..and check out Melanie's barn they came in from France to build it..Have never seen a house as magnificient.....thanks for stopping Suzanne....

She's on facebook....there you can read some of her poetry (I think) I'm too busy looking at the barns and horses...It's all so thrilling....and my friends have horses and barns there...Love Equestrian.....cheers PD...
