Wild Love
"Wild Love"
A kind of haze sleeps
over her heart
like blue smoke from
a Ghost-gum bushfire
slowly burns
eternal external
she’s separate
apart
inside her mind
a steep rocky
mountain path
seeking a phantom
invisible unknown yet
who fans the flames
to bring out the
Wild Love
like screaming jets
like fleeing creatures
do not remain
standing in
fields of burning toffee
Queensland sugar cane -
When flames of violet blue
veins bleed and pump
a fiery wet cry of
crackling hungry want
like deepest purple
feral Lantana flowers
twisting around her
steely barbed wire heart
bound control is lost
suspended in the fire
no need to untie knots
tears of rain
like acid singe
her marble cheeks
her lofty tower
melts the id within
grows from her lush soiled
something budding
life anew soaring phoenix
then from stifled ashes
green begins again
she forgets to blush
and grins -
the quiet hours
ripped apart
separate in state
across vast
oceans annihilate
remnants of red ribbons
tied from heart to heart -
Wild Love
golden winged creatures
formed from flames
