second chance

when will i every learn to not believe false promises. why do i continue to pursue the unattainable impossibility. was the thought raising thought her mind as she walked into the coffee shop. there she was once again seating here asking to be accepted.

she had been down this road many times before. each and every time she tells herself never again. till that moment when a false promise of renewal is dangled in front of her face once more she jumps at the chance once more. all the while knowing that this will not last but a few weeks at best.

all she wanted was to be able to go back in time and fix her mistakes. she would do many things differently. only if time travel was a real possibility but unfortunately it is not. till the day she found this old eights style phone at a thrift store and her life changed forever.

the first time she punched in a number on into the old phone she felt a rush of energy surge thought her body. she felt as if she was being transported to an alterant reality. she closed her eyes and when she reopened her eyes the room had changed. she was teleported back in time to her old childhood bed room.

she got out of bed and opened the door and walked throught the house and went outside. she found herself instictively walking down the block and heading in the direction of her old friends house. as she arrived at the house and say her friend siting on the porch tears came to her eyes. she ran up to her friend and gave her a hug and a kiss and confussed her love for her.

the next morning she woke up and turned around to descover her friend laying next to her. it hadn't been a dream. she had really traveled back in time and changed her past. her friend woke and gave her the sweetest kiss. she never went back to her oun time she decided to stay and live out her life in the past.
