Manitoulin Island
Manitulin Island is so different araround it is like stepping back in time.A place where no cars are allowed.To get around the area, is a lot of walking, or a horse and buggy ride around the islnd.To get there is by the mainland then taking a ferry the rest of the way..The ferry cost a few dollars,at the dock is a chart on the wall with the ferry's shudule.
On this island are many restruants to choose for dining out. There are lots of stores for shopping..Also bars to have an evening out. for a meal and drink.
There are many many hotels and bed and bedand breakfasts places to spend the evening.A tour by horse and buggy cost $7.oo for an one hour tour to see the whole island.Many people take this tour to learn about the island.The residents live here all year round.Some folks have a summer home here for the summer.This is a quaint place that is unique.Many peole come here often to visit this place out of time.
