Religion has not become ridiculous people have become ridiculous. Creation came into being, I believe a super consciousness (god) became aware of itself the all. awareness created loneliness, love, and it could experience nothing. All things came into being, hence the big bang theory, life, and the universe exploded and here we are, illusion or not we are trapped in this phenomena. All things coming into being, the cosmic creation complete this super-consciousness (God) disappeared into it. To find Buddha (God) one has to but look into oneself. Buddha (God) dwells within with the secrets to the mysteries of life. Why is it that we experience loneliness at times even when surrounded by others, maybe, just maybe our highest self connects to that vast void. Just saying.
