Capture the Strength

Montgomery, in chains, walked towards the throne. “You took out half our planets’ forces, you blow up our castle, you destroy your own ship, why you did that I’m still unsure, and you murder my own son. What do you call that?? The king asked. Montgomery gave the king a wry smile and laughed softly. “I’m impressed you could have even caught me, so I’ll say it’s progress on your part.” he replied. The king got up and with the sword he had in his hand walked towards him and as the king was about to jab the sword into his heart, Montgomery vanished into thin air.

“If murder was so wrong, why do you feel the need for it to be your first course of action. You say murder is wrong, but yet you have a death sentence just waiting to be carried out. If I’m within bow’s reach, shoot it.” Montgomery said, still invisible.

“Show yourself coward. Prove to me that you can fight.”
“The dead bodies around you, including the one of your own son, foolish as he was like his father, should be proof enough, but perhaps I can spare a casket for his father, bury him right where his son lie and throw him off the mountainside.”
Montgomery reappeared in front of the king and held a knife in front of his throat. Before the king could scream for the guards, Montgomery put his mouth close towards the kings’ ear.

“Bone by bone, limb by limb, and fracture by fracture should I tear apart your body if you so much as even utter a syllable. Half the planets’ forces you say?? How about global extinction? And I destroyed my own ship with every intention of taking over your own planet, the meager might of your men was shown to let you down as their bodies were slain by my own sword.” Montgomery said. “The good guy always wins.” said the king. “Well your son was a fairly nice kid, that is until I tossed him by his shirt into the atmosphere that is, so I guess not.” Montgomery replied.

The king suddenly formed a plan. His fingers formed over the sword he had in his robe, but didn’t move it yet.

“Fine, you caught me. I’ll surrender, but don’t kill me.” the king whined.
“March.” said Montgomery. The king marched in front of him and as Montgomery lowered his knife, the king took out his sword and in a swift motion and swung towards Montgomery, but before the sword passed through him, Montgomery vanished and appeared behind him. Montgomery picked up the king by his arm and flew up to the tallest mountain. “I tore threw your men like paper, you really think I didn’t know where you kept your sword.” Montgomery said. “The good guy doesn’t always win. Remember this on the fall down. Don’t be ignorant in your own little bubble that because you’re a good guy, you are automatically safe. Clearly you’ve never read the story of Cain and Abel.” And with that, Montgomery threw the king down the mountain and the king broke his spine against a rock.

Montgomery picked up the crown. “Time to set up my kingdom.”
