Brick By Brick - Betrayal

The boy and the man got very close, especially over the years leading up to today.

A little background on the boy is that he lived a very rough childhood. He made a lot of ill decisions, but the man moved past those and got to know him for who he was, or who he perceived to be.

Trust was built brick by brick by both the man and the boy, who placed each one with thought. Unfortunately, one huge unpassable mistake bulldozed down the entire brick wall, shocking everyone, including the boy.

The man he hurt was so severely damaged that there was nothing left to save. The brick was reduced to dust and was now being blown away by the wind.

As the boy sat with the brick dust in his hands, trying to put it back together after it had crumbled, the man stood over him. More and more dust picked up into the air and spun in the distance.

The man tried to give the boy a chance because he considered the boy his loyal brother and didn't want to say goodbye despite his injuries. The boy cried tears of sorrow, wondering how he could survive alone in the world.? The man wondered as he saw a lot of the mistakes the boy had already made over the years.

Having lived a long and difficult life, the man believed he could mentor the boy and teach him about manhood and morality.

The man was already head over heels for the boy's sister, who feared being left alone, long before meeting the boy.

After a month and a half after the big mistake, the boy kicked down the rebuilt wall that had been still ground dust, and a big gust of wind came by, and everything had blown away, he had been grasping at air trying to grab the dust that had been shifting through his fingers.

The man turned away from the boy as his face shone shocked to see everything he believed of the boy had disintegrated in an instant then as to believing the trust that when it had been being built.

The boy’s sister on the other stood beside the man, but looking in opposite directions, she had tried very hard to look at the boy; she was his sister after all, but all she could do is watch as the world between them shattered, that she doesn’t recognize the boy anymore, as he falls to his knees and begs mercy to forgive him, she could feel the mans hurt gaze on the side of her face as he was ready to walk away from the pure disintegration.

She gave one last look at the boy and turned away, taking the man’s hand, and walking off into the distance, leaving the boy and the trust that flew off in the wind.
