A Long Distance Friendship
I started pen palling in 1989. On a trip to Newfoundland I bought a Newfoundland newspaper. Inside was an article on pen pals. It brightened my day. It was very interesting reading. Every day I read the same article enjoying everything I read. In the article was a long list of names that were there and I chose Sheila Long to correspond with.
In 1999 I returned to Newfoundland and I met Sheila in person. We got along well.Since then our friendship has grown stronger. We have become good friend. We exchange lettersw regularly.
A pen pal iw a friend that lives miles away from you. So corresponding by letter is how we keep in touch.
