P.S. being a hero is not about the cape, mask, or special powers, but simply being brave enough to walk in your own skin each day unapologetically... Walking through the fire, stepping over fear, and leaving doubt behind... Because the next second, thought, or moment is the real tomorrow as we continue to get stronger from the mistakes of yesterday...

Bad composition is the reflection of a hostile character. Unkindness is found in unappreciative folks: don't be one of them.

The chauvinistic mind has Napoleonic roots,
where commitment to flawed ideals lacks endurance and truth. With ' Fake News ' and the ' Big Lie ' . . . reality is challenged once again from blind leadership and power.

A black ringlet curls to lie
at the nape of her neck,
glistening with sweat
in the evaporate moonlight...
This is what I remember
now that I cannot forget.
And tonight,
if I have forgotten her name,
I remember...
rigid wire and white lace
half-impressed in her flesh,
our soft cries, like regret
...the enameled white clips
of her bra strap
still inscribe dimpled marks
that my kisses erase...
now that I have forgotten her face.

because you prefer kissing
then stalling.

To My Daughter~As you embark on your journey of another 1000 books,
another trip to the library, filling your knapsack with treasures, you make your father, mother and all the bookworms proud. The night the flame burned we jest. You were three at the time and tucked hidden beneath the blankets was your silhouette, flashlight, and books in hand, as you read long into (another) night. The days of your life like a tent of good tidings, too, as you camped out on the doorsteps of another book.

Life is not a series of ellipsis; poetry teaches one to appreciate the snapshot moments of life, and the value of a full stop at the end of each.

The fear of having to go out every day worrying that you might snap, you might hurt upon another with that fear grows more anger and with it the fear that is there it is a constant struggle between the hatred and the self fear that you are constantly walking a fine line between it trying to keep a fine line on this tight rope... but why not fall it might be better.

He can annoy me. Lord knows he irritates me at times. I’ll have to bite my tongue to keep from saying things I can’t take back, and don’t want to say because it may hurt him. Yes, sometimes I snap. I’m human…
But even after the annoyance, I still love him. I’m back to being right in love.
I won’t toss him away after disagreements, big or small. He’s the one that loves me enough to go there with me; and help make our way back.

While anxiety lies tense on ticking filled with straw.

If you are in a Walmart with your toddler and they cry, DO NOT SCREAM at them. Take them home for a nap. No one should be in Walmart at nap-time.
