To open oneself up completely, with our fears, our weaknesses, our strengths, our love, is the risk we take in human form. We trust that familiarity will not lead to contempt, but that our subconscious will strengthen this thing we call love. As long as the ego is kept out of the equation by the will of our spiritual nature.

Free Will. It means that we not only can make choices, but we also control alternative variables unlimited. Though we have individualized souls we are part of Universal Consciousness. What affects one affects all. We create our own physical and mental reality. Time we stop abusing God's miracle gift to humanity.

Emotions are substance -- Love, hate, they are substance. Angels, they are substance. Maybe not what we commonly understand as physical matter, but spirit is substance. Spirit is real. For me, after everything has been cleaned and polished, there radiates love. Love is the source and ever evolving embodiment of manifest reality. Nothing exists outside of love...all else is illusion.

How much of seeming one is truly individual? Programed in a sense by physical/mental maybe spiritual constituents. Is there really an individual? And yet no two are the same conglomerate. No matter how many in the mix. The many/individual. And when we consider the all, maybe back to the God -- nothing existing outside of the limitless inside/outside of God. DNA, are there really any exclusions or limitations? We transverse living membranes of self-illusion.

With me poetry is about subduing one's conditioned mental reflexes, and allowing purer inert forces to take control of the stylus. In short, poetry should be about transcending the physical into realms of the metaphysical. The heart of great writing is spiritual and not commercial. One must take the "I" out of a work as much as creatively possible.

If you want to call yourself a Poet, don’t let anyone speak on your behalf - speak in own poetic voice. Don’t let anybody else speak about your abuse, expériences or healing. You not only give away your poetic license, you give away your power to feel completely. Any trauma will be diluted in this way & your cycles of repressed emotion will remain repressed in fragments. Worse, it will be coloured by someone else calling themselves collaborators. This is a sophisticated form of power usurping.

Poetry should express emotion with structure and restraint, because, paradoxically, structure can make the expression of emotion seem more, not less, spontaneous, and restraint can make emotional expression seem more, not less, intense.

How old is the earth? Just take the past 5,000 years, how far technically man has come...follish to think we are the first great (so called civilization) -- when the bible talks of creation, timelines, much is spiritual truth, applying to many generations even civilizations. Yes, man will fall again, and again, and again. Till we get right with God. Not a one of us, has ever left this world for long. We are dead...and death will repeat over and over. Few know it. Part of the problem.

Depression is a common ailment of poets. Unless you’ve reached Shakespeare’s level of detachment, then God allows you to focus on technique & musicality.

A good poem is addressed to the person who reads it, not to the person who writes it. By this standard, there are practically no good poems being written today.

Writing is very personal, the sensed need to do so. To inform, to share, to motivate -- to touch the physically untouchable. The later is generally my reason.
