Dear Soupers, I love this site and for the world of me can't recall how I ever found it but who cares? I never wrote a poem in my life till my wife and I split and since have divorced last May. I am a Personal Trainer who teaches Kickboxing and self defense. I train 5 days a week for my own fitness and enjoy working out. I am working at learning to write on the fly but pain has been my teacher.  I really love the comments I have gotten and will work hard to learn. I will only get better..
P.S. I am the guy in the yellow shirt after a fight and thought fighting 3 people was gonna kill me.. If you could have been in my head during the fight you would have felt death knocking.. But I made it through.. I asked my father when did you get here? His response was,"You were on your feet when I first got there but changed strategies and were crawling across the ring at the end."

I am a personal trainer and this morning after 3 years of nagging I am going to the gym with my 71 year old mother. She was attacked by her Rottweiler who was sleeping. She accidentally stepped on his paw when he slept. He tried to kill her. She was drug across the kitchen while he bit her. She needed 157 stitches and we didn't know if she would lose her leg. Her muscles atrophied  and I am hoping today she will turn the corner.. Love Patrick

Well day 1 down and my Mother had fun we laughed and she never complained.. Lucky for her I am a personal trainer.. And I know what I am doing and have trained many older people.. She did very well and am happy to say I am proud of her.

Patrick: I hope your Mom is doing better. I am new to the soup and was maimed by a neighbors pitbull recently on the same leg that I broke my femur on last year. I am not young either so I know what it takes to come back from this. I know with your love and help she will slowly recover her mobility, Keep writing,,, SuZ

All the best to your Mom, Patrick. That's an awful experience. She is lucky to have a son who cares...

Love and prayers to your mother for a full recovery. It will be difficult for her, and for you.

Oh, my goodness, that is terrible, Patrick. It reminds me of what happened here in the states when a woman's friend had her face nearly taken off by an enraged monkey who didn't recognize the woman in a new hairdo. I'm proud of you for taking her to the gym and wish you much success in getting her leg to work properly again. She will need so much work. It's very painful. I know because I had shoulder surgery last year and had to break thru scar tissue to get the movement back. Good luck and happy Easter. Tell your mom hi for me.
