You write the line first; then, when you type in a noun, verb or adjective, Lamplight suggests language techniques and shows you how to use them to lift what you've already written. That order matters to me: it never writes for you — the writing stays yours, and Lamplight only offers ways to make it stronger. After 16 years in the classroom, I've found it works beautifully for teaching creative writing.
