I judged the Rock 'n Rhyme contest. Good gravy there were some wonderful poems submitted. Thank you EVERYONE who entered - of the 33 entrants there wasn't a poor write in the group and it was very difficult to get this down to a final 10. There's at least 8 of you who if you emailed and ripped me up and down for omitting your poem from placement that would receive no argument from me (you're welcome to do so but I'm still a little sensitive these days and would ask that if you do to take it a little easy on me).
This is what I envision with contests and I was so pleased and so proud of all on the site with what I read. There didn't appear to be any hurried writes and all should be proud who submitted. It was only my second to sponsor and it was a very humbling yet invigorating experience to know that there's at 33 folks out there who are twice the poet I am. Congratulations to all, and to all, thanks for a good write :)
I'll be posting a new one here today because I could go for a bit more torture this month.
