Portals

In my hands lied a tiny portal
When it awakens I can choose
Which portal I can travel to
There’s the musical portal, filling my ears with adrenaline
There’s the social portal, connecting me to those far away
There’s an education portal, keeping me on task and updated
But most importantly, the gaming portal
In this gaming portal, I get pulled into an unknown world
In this gaming portal, I can control my own fate
In this gaming portal, I can be free
These games are not the regular matching three in a row
Or paying to win a single round
These games are old friends that I can’t play anymore
A game where I can own little dogs and teach them as much as possible
A farming game to pass the time
An adventure game that never fails to capture me
A simulation game where I build a grand city from dust
All these games exist on the store
But none of them come close to these, my homes
