Blue Time

Blue is the time I’ll never get back for being sad.
It is me waiting for nothing.
It is the past that clearly isn’t forgotten.
It is the lost love I need and want back.

In the ocean, many see blue.
I see something so blank.
The deep coral and its imperfections.

The blue jeans I wear
have lasted weeks,
torn apart like my heart.

Truly… blue will be the laughter we share
As a family
Soon to be single handedly, the most happierest,
I win!

You could say it’s salty now, as its wind
Hits my cheeks, leaving them blue, not pink
with frustration.
blue will be fresh… like the laundry done on
a sunday morning.
Giving me hope for better days and better outfits.

Deeply written. Deeply felt. Deep.

Your personification of addiction is impeccably written, Krystal.

I like the optimism that is climbing out of this poem. Nice.
