My Brain

Sometimes I feel so accomplished
At other times I can't even think
I have a thought in my head
And it's gone with the next blink
I don't think you get it
Maybe it's hard to understand
I wish I could remind you
But my brain is like sand
It's older, not wiser
And the texture of wax
All hard until fire
Then melts, to relax
So don't try to tell me
This is all in my head
That's the one true statement
That you have ever said
Just think for one moment
How that other person might feel
Stop being so selfish
And realize this is for real
So forgive me for renting
I just want you to know the score
Start thinking how others feel
And how to love others more
