Sweet Surrender

Dawn allures me, but it's the dusk I endure,
Darkness, I have fallen in love with,
Night has befriended me,
The silence of the night says a thousand things,
As I gently surrender in its arms.

It's the deep night that I long for,
When darkness nurses my dreams,
Humming the sweetest tune, until dawn unfolds.
But I await with fondness for the light to fade,
To embrace the dark in all its beauty, I do crave.

Dear Mitali, this is a lovely poem about dusk and darkness. I really think, this is an exceptional poem. I don't see your poems for a while - are you not posting here any more? Looking forward to see more ~ Maladi
