Are You There

Hello?
Can I call you?
Not that I have had any experience with calling boys.
I have no experience because I don't know.
I don't know because I've never tried.
I've never tried because I have no experience.
Sorry, I guess.
What was that?
You don't know what to say?
Don't worry, I'm used to it.
Always used to things that take me completely by surprise.
Yes, I know I'm stupid.
Yes, you just told me I was.
Silently.
You don't know me at all, but I know you.
No, I'm not a stalker.
I'm running out of patience now.
Look, you know how to screw people's lives up. And all I know how to lose myself in a crowd, so that I'd never need to find myself ever again.
No, that isn't my point.
No, I'm not good at roasting people.
Listen to me!
You dragged me out of that crowd, okay?
It was you who decided to screw me up and make me hopelessly awkward..
Not me.

A very beautiful written poem, you re not the only one who hesitate around boys( typically people of other gender), I m a boy and believe me whenever I m talking to a girl, I got so confused that I don t really know what to answer, and I was used to think that this is only with boys, anyway your poem was really beautiful, it tells us a girls experience and how she messed everything, how she got confused, your last line was really nice, but unfortunately it doesn t work out in real life
