My War
When you look at me, what do you see. Do you see the man I am, or what society deplicts me to be. You'll never know my pain, that runs so deep. You have no idea what my eyes have seen. I've seen mothers carrying their dead babies, and mere children carrying guns. How can you tell me to kill a child whos no older than my son. But orders are orders and them I must obey.
So don't look at me like I'm crazy, or tell me you understand what I've been through.
Because theres no way you can understand my life, until you've walked a mile in my shoes.
I pray that God will forgive me, for what I did on that hot desert day, because now when I go to sleep at night, all I see is that childs lifeless face.
