Amusetta, Gentille Amusetta

You are a girl
of many moods
and surprises.
Sometimes you're
chattering a mile
a minute, and I
can't keep up
with all the
witticisms, metaphors
reasonings and rhymes
you throw my way.

On other occasions,
like when I'm at church
I must rebuke you,
for you try to
distract me
with verbose ramblings
to lure my
mind away
from the preaching.

Then there are seasons
you don a parka
and sit silently
shivering alone
on a park bench,
and I can't
extract a single
word from you!

Ah, musetta
gentille musetta
Vas- tu me
cueillir la tete

An interesting poem, Carol. I dont get the French, though many here wiil. It's hard to understand people. What works for me is to get people are perfect the way they are, AND the way they are not. It's amazing the power they have. People blow me away. I try to keep my mouth shut.hard to do. Constantly thinking I know the answers for their problems. Forgetting God gave us free will. Hope I make sense...))) pr
