Seasons

Sometimes seasons aren’t found on the calendar
They’re in the mind and in the heart
It doesn’t take a day of the week
To see when one will start
A winter’s day can be felt with a loss
And skies grow cold and gray
Even when that loss happens
In the merry month of May
A springtime fresh feeling can occur anytime
With the birth of a little one
Even if the happy event
Is lit by an autumn sun
The heat of summer is felt
When two passionate people meet
Even when the days are short
And the year’s almost complete
The seasons can occur anytime
There’s no rhyme or reason to it all
The seasons of your heart and mind
Spring, summer, winter, fall
