Trying To Explain

I wish I could explain how bad life has hurt me
So one day I picked up a pen and starting writing poetry
I didn't know I could even write
Putting my pain on paper trying to word it just right
At times the words come easy as the tears down my cheek
Other times if feels I can't breath, much less speak
But with each poem and verse
I begin to fell the pain lift like a curse
Oh the power of the mighty pen
I'll never doubt that again
Writing has help my healing begin
I am finding it a lot easier to grin
So I'll keep writing no matter if know one reads
This is not for you its for me.

Had to read this again. Indeed, you have found the treasure and mystery of poetry. All should write, for each life is a worthy poem. Please keep writing! Love it. Honest and pure.
