I’m a cat’s eye in a box of jailhouse bones,
one move on my part boys is catchin’ a love jones
Phone bouncin’ off the cradle at 3 in the morning,
by the sound of his voice I can tell the tears was about to start pouring,
Said he heard a love song and was thinking of me,
telling them not to catch feelings is like talking to a tree,
Though I can’t blame it, hey I love them all,

asleep in my lap after they tear up the town,

Things with baby’s mama starting to get sour?

Whether you need a rubdown, or someone to listen while you talk,
I know you’re hardcore gangster, but know with me it’s okay to be soft,
In time you’ll see that even through hard times I’m not running off,
if ever you should fall down I’m holding you aloft,
It blows my mind the electricity and attraction already between us,
And because I never felt it before I’d never have known I needed it,
Time has a funny way of slippin’ when you’re high on love and trippin’
I’m not liking being caught up, I’m biting and I’m pushing you,
away from me but it’s too late cause you already have my heart,
You must’ve help up cupid, took his bow and shot me with a dart,
Maybe someday we’ll settle down but I really doubt it,

Just knowing that we’re looking at the same sky means all the world to me,
Although if I’m not with you my heart just isn’t free,
The place beside me is empty - only you can fill the void,
and when I’m kickin’ it with the others, I’m just filling the silence with white noise,
Sometimes I find your name escaping from my lips when it shouldn’t,
And its not like he didn’t try to do me like you do - he couldn’t
