Goodbye Love

Goodbye to those happy times,
Hearing you laugh, hearing me whine.
Goodbye to the tears and smiles,
Wanting a wedding and having your first child.
Goodbye to the arguments and apologies,
I fell into a trap I was too blind to see.
Goodbye to giving up and trying again,
Your broken heart, I still long to mend.
Goodbye to your warm embrace,
Your happy smile, your caring face.
Goodbye to falling asleep on the phone,
Hello to crying myself to sleep alone.
Goodbye to our future anniversaries,
Goodbye to everything we used to be.
