More Than a Crush

How did a girl like me, meet a guy like you?
You’re the kind of guy girls dream about,
Almost too good to be true
This isn’t just a crush, I think about you everyday
And whenever I’m feeling down, you always know what to say
At first I didn’t want to get too attached
Because I had seen the pain of love gone a stray
But u make me feel loved and promised me
You’d never hurt me in any way
As I sit here writing this poem, I’m constantly thinking of you
Knowing this is more than a crush, hoping it’s a dream come true

Disowned

What else is there left to say
Now that I’ve been disowned?
I can no longer call you my mother
Since this is no longer my home
Why do I stick around
And endure all of this pain?
Because my friends are my only family
That manages to keep me sane
They are the only people I can talk to
They’re the only ones that know the real me
They’re the only ones that see the good
That you’re too stubborn to see
6 months will come and go
and I’ll finally be free
I’ll be the one to decide
How much good there is in me

Untitled

A hearts bleak blackness,
Cold as ice.
Lie just once and pay the price.
Of 16 yrs full of sorrow and pain,
Sharing some of the glory and all of the blame.
You said there were no favorites,
 But there in your eyes,
I was silently condemned, that came as no surprise.
I don’t want any apologies,
You never really cared about my emotional needs.
16 yrs gone, too little, too late.
What’s this new emotion? It’s a thing called HATE!!
Not hatred of you,
 Please don’t get me wrong.
I’m tired of being blamed,
It’s the same old song.
Yes I’ve lied and I’ve said I’m sorry.
But I guess it was too late.
Because ever since then I’ve been cursed with this terrible fate.
Never believed when I told the truth.
Always thought a liar and deceiver,
Harsh words spoken, “Never believe her!”
I’ve admitted my sin, but still it remains,
Never will I speak the truth, my words never the same.
Thanks to one lie,
That’s haunted my past.
My present, and future, so happiness never lasts.
I’ve said I was sorry,
Meant it with all my heart.
But you looked away,
Thinking I was playing a part.
Thinking I was playing some weird mind game,
With you as the pawn,
So I just looked away,
 My sorrow long gone.
I’m sick of feeling sorry for myself.
I’ve drifted past that emotion.
I’ve now moved on to bitterness.
And now I’m swimming in an ocean,
Of tears and confusion,
For what I used to be.
Never again will I be myself,
Never again will I be me.
Because of the lie that I spoke and your stubbornness to forgive.
With every breath I take,
With this pain I am forced to live.
Since you can’t forgive me,
How can I forgive myself?
Even with all I have, that you’ve given me,
My good fortune and my health.
Still beneath the surface lies,
What I feel for you emotions as bait,
As ugly monster ready to rear it’s head,
With a name as horrible as hate.
I’ve never hated you,
Please, don’t think that.
But I can no longer stand,
For you to feel like that.
To feel like I can’t be trusted.
That hurts more than you realize.
You’ve never looked past the surface to see,
Where the truth lies,
I hate only your emotions towards me.
I love you more than you’ll ever know.
But because of the way you act,
I make sure it never shows.
I know you love me more that life.
So please put aside this fault in me.
And tell me it’s alright,
Tell me you’re sorry so we can be as happy as we used to be

Hidden Emotions

I don’t expect you two to be best friends
No matter how hard I try
But I do expect you to respect one another
Something to be gained with time
Both of you mean the world to me
You help bring light to a world so dark
I’d never choose one over the other
You both have a special place in my heart
I love you like a sister
He means the world to me
So put aside your differences
And set your problems free….

Fears

Insecurities haunting me
Clouding my judgment so I can’t see
Worried about the future
Unwilling to go back to the past
Wondering if this dream come true
Is really meant to last
No relationship is etched in stone
Afraid to voice my worries
I’ll carry this burden alone
I have no real reason to feel this way
So why do these same concerns go through my mind everyday?
I know that I’ll get through this
All it takes is time
But these fears will never go away
Until you are by my side

Untitled

From the very beginning neither one of us had to pretend
That we were in love, and would be together till the end
That’s how strong our love is
So never let it die
I’ll bare all of my feelings now
So there’s nothing left to hide
Yes I worry about our future
Yes I worry about us
But I know that in my heart
Us being together is a must
I love u more than I can describe
I’m still searching for the words to say what I feel
But one thing is for certain
My love for u is real

Loss

Pain
Confusion
Heartache
The three main emotional roller coasters of loss,
But don’t despair
Because although you’ve loved and lost you still have family
Loving
Caring
Supportive
These are the three ties that remind you
That no matter what you go through
No matter how dark the cloud
You always have family beside you
You’ll never be alone
Your family will always be there to show you the silver lining of every cloud

My Life Is Like a Puzzle

My life is like a puzzle,
That doesn’t seem to fit.
Trying different pieces,
Completing it bit by bit.
Some pieces go here and some go there,
This is driving me crazy.
But I know I have to finish it,
So I can’t afford to be lazy.
My life is like a puzzle,
But when you look at it this way,
It’s also like the Earth,
Changing everyday.

I'M That Girl

I'm the girl who watches you from a far
I'm that girl who always wants to be where you are
I'm that girl who hopes to be in your dreams
I'm that girl who refuses to be seen
I'm that girl who glances your way
I'm that girl who never knows what to say
I'm that girl you saw out the corner of your eye
I'm that girl you considered a passer by
I'm that girl who started to make you blush
I'm that girl whom you long to touch
I'm that girl who now walks down the aisle
I'm that girl you always want to make smile
I'm that girl you now love instead of like
I'm that girl who is now your wife

Broken Promise To a Lost Love

A promise of trust is broken
A hidden heart revealed.
A love has blown away in the wind.
A secret no longer concealed.
I was promised everything one could want
But that promise has gone astray.
The one I thought was my true love
Apparently didn’t feel the same way.
But that’s ok I understand
I have no choice but to heal with time.
But I can no longer call you my love
Because you were never truly mine.
My pain is genuine
Although your feelings for me were not.
In time I guess you’ll find your true love
And I’ll be the one you forgot.
Heartbreak is a cruel teacher
That’s something I’ve had to find out
Since you’re something she needs to survive
I’m something you’ll have to do without.
