Sweet Old Valentine

The wind is still soft and cold
Those mighty trees still standing tall and bold
Love is all around I can see
Hurting me deep within cos you are not with me

Some few years in the past
I thought our love would ever last
You were my Juliet and I was your Romeo
Never thought you would let this easily let me go

You gave me happiness, love and joy
Now you put my heart aside like a toy
Night and day I thought of you
Although many were there waiting for me in a queue

It's funny when I think of our first valentine
The ring's we've exchanged I guess you've lost back in time
You measured my love in terms of gift and gold
Darling, I never thought you could get this bold

I miss your golden smile
Thought we would walk together the aisle
You were once my valentine
Time has moved on and you are no longer mine

We fell in love at spring
Got deeper in our relation thing
Started fighting by autumn breeze
Everything by winter seem to freeze

You stay happy wherever you go
But don't keep breaking hearts in a row
I was happy then and happier now
Life without you is still better somehow

You were my Juliet and I was your Romeo
However it doesn't matter anymore so
You could not forever be mine
Luck didn't favor you my sweet old valentine..

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
