Dream With Me

As I lay down, my strength belonging to another day,
I closed my eyes to soon open them, and see a pair looking my way,
There were close, dark, and lovely,
They belonged to a woman, who smiled and said, "dream with me."

"Where will we stay?", and I dreamed of a lovely home,
One with space, warmth from a fireplace,
"Will we be alone?", and I dreamed of children, in our house they roamed,
Always smiling, scheming, eager to race,
"Will we worry?", and I dreamed of wealth, falling from the sky,
We gathered it as a family, and gave to those that needed.
"Will you make me cry?", and I dreamed of her smile,
Life's hand would only cause tears, emotions I treated.
"How will we perish?", and I dreamed of being old together,
We lay surrounded by loved ones, our souls close to forever.

"Take my hand", and I reached out her way,
I closed my eyes to soon open them, a pair not looking back,
As I arose to give my strength to another day,
I held close to my heart and mind, the dream I chase; a reality I lack.

This was a thoroughly enjoyable read. I love your thoughts on strength given to other days. I seem to face many of these. A thought: the word 'there' introducing the third line doesn't seem to be the one you intended.
