Priority's

You sit there in your sorrow,
Regretting choices of yesterday.
Wishing you could go back somehow,
Day dreaming of a way.

I wish I could open your eyes to see,
All the things you couldn't before.
Like a family that was right in front of you,
But you looked past them, searching for more.

Most of the things at the time you so desperately seemed to need.
All of which are lost in the past and selfish petty greed.

Those years of ripping and running will take a toll, yes its true.
And getting old happens to the beat of them.
Just wasn't supposed to happen to you.

So close your eyes and tell me who"s face is the first you see?
I bet its Benjamin Franklin instead of your family.

Life is way to short and time keeps marching on.
Priority's will determine your path, just make sure your not walking alone .
