If I Knew

If I knew it would end like this I would given my parents there last hug and kiss,
I'd sit down and have a discussion with kids about the day I'd be dismissed.
I would hold my lover tightly, and pray the Lord their soul to keep,
If I knew it would be the last time that my family would watch me walk out the door.
I would probably enjoyed life alil bit more.

Them boyz in blue
Didn't even give me a clue
I was in the wrong place at the wrong time
But who knew death would be the punishment of such a petty crime
They took it to another level
Shot me like I was the devil
Now it's rumors and lies cause ain't no video tape
Misinterpret actions and confused word play.

If I knew this is how my life would end,
I swear I would have stolen extra minute or two to stop and say.. "I love you," and ask you to say "I do".

If I knew this is where I would die, I would have asked God why, so I could fight for my life than to let it slip away.

There are no more tomorrows, nor will I get a second chance, to make everything right.

There won't be anymore family times after today just memories, And I didn't even know my dreams would be deferred by this type of tragedy

My last breathes are me realizing all this, and this is all I get. I wish I never took the simplest things for granted like those who showed me love and loyalty, but I won't leave this world in moments of regret.

Right now is my yesterday and tomorrow will never come. So I pray my last prayer that someone will take this chance to save the others to hold your loved one tight and speak for fathers mothers sisters and brothers.

It's the police job to serve, honor, and protect but for some that's exactly what they've chosen to neglect. And hence the reason for those like me tomorrow never comes, you who care have a job to be done.
