The Pit

The pit

Hello she said
The pit of my stomach dropped
An angel spoke
The butterflies woke
My mind is blank, thinking of something slick, but mute I become.
Bye she says and walks away
She leaves a beautiful scent, and leaves a trail of feathers
she flies off

Time came and went
Don't know how I managed to gain someone like you, kind, gentle, and caring. Every word you have said had meaning to them.

Over time my eyes realized your true lies
All I gain was pain yet
All that joy that I gained, while you stayed
Made me realize the mistake I made
Knowing you were fake ...Your words no longer left meaning , leading me to lean on hopes and dreams that will never be.

Hello she no longer spoke.
An silence succubus
The pit of my stomach turned sour
The moth awoke.
Countless things I want to tell you
But I bite my tongue
She walks pass with a limp, she no longer has wings covered in feathers they are replaced with a thin layer of skin
an unimaginable foul smell fellows
she stumbles away.
