The New Dawn Promise
Walking through a garden here I see
Flowers slumbering in the cool mist
As droplets of dew fall to the ground
They await the dawn’s morning kiss
There is no breeze no sound
Save birdsong quietly stirring the air
Their rhythmic cries welcoming first light
However the birds are out of sight
The flowers awaken opening their eyes
Irises of blue green yellow and red
Petals languidly spread like a lovers smile
Emerald leaves slowly turn embracing the sky
This is the new dawn promise
This is the new dawn’s life
