My Fall

The sun doesn't love me no more
He comes round less each day
The way he hides away from me
Makes me not want to play

The darkness dims my heart
It tends to make me sad
I cant see why, I try to smile
But end up getting mad

The cold that creeps up to me
And shivers me with fear
I wrap up warm and tell myself
“It's just that time of year”

The stars in our one's absence
Gives me a little hope
A wondrous way to settle in
To a sight that helps me cope

Alot of strong emotion coming thru in this lovely poem - and yet you said it with simplicity - no fancy stuff, which I always prefer. Very nice Jamie!!
