Beast

Skin discolored
With fading bruises
Laden with stench
Of sickening feelings
Swamped with epiphany
Now lost of hope
I laughed.
The hysterics carried me away
Like time does
To old, withered memories
Tears rolled down my bony cheeks
Tears of happiness-they say
Funny how I could pull this off
They say they all care
And I know they do
But no one actually looks at me
All they do is watch
Like one does
To a beast in a cage
Maybe that's what I have become.
A beast.
Caught.
Help up.
Trapped.
Alone.
Living.
Dying.
Losing.
A battle,
To herself.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
