Then There Was You

You came into my life,
you took away all my strife

You told me everything would work out for the best,
you took away all my mess

You promised you would always be there,
now I never have to look where

You told me we would always be together,
you said, "I'll love your forever"

Now I am left here all alone,
still smelling your cologne

All I can think about is the past,
I've put myself into a giant cast

I'm afraid to fall in love again,
I'm scared of where it will end.
