Today Was the Day I Died

Today was the day I died.
I am finally free.
Free from the life I use to live.
Free from the torment of others.
Free from all the killing, fighting and hatred.
Today was the day I died.
I finally have my wings.
Wings to fly where ever I please.
Wings to soar up to the heavens.
Wings that I have earned by helping my fellow brothers and sisters.
Today was the day I died.
You never got a chance to say good-bye.
You never got to say I Love You one last time.
Today was the day I died.
I never got the chance to say I'm sorry.
I never got a chance to hold you one last time before I left.
I never got a chance to tell you how I really felt.
Today was the day I died.
This is not good-bye.
This is more like so long I'll see you later.
Some day we'll meet again.
Just remember I'm still with you in your memories, in your thoughts
and in your heart.
Remember all the good times and I'll always be with you.
Today was the day I died.
I' m free and I have my wings.
I'm not forgotten I'm always near just like of me and I'll be there.
Today was the day I died.
