The Meaning of It All

I had been there often
where time stood still  
thinking how that nothing mattered more
not the busy streets 
or the endless flow of people
chasing after dreams
while stray dogs slept
and beggars voiced their cries
I was captured by the moment 
wondering to myself again
the meaning of it all.
