Thoughts In Silence

Thoughts in silence
We sit in terror of antecedent faults
a thought, a reminder, a prick of reality.
For the silence knows that we fear it.

Thoughts streaming through my mind,
in shame, in joy and in regret.
For time does not mend
what the heart has to carry.

A heart.

Like a mirror it reflects what you have become over years, once broken, it can be put together with a lot of trouble.
The function will change, as will you after the heart has suffered disappointment over and over, like a sore not having time to heal.

Scars do not go away.

The mind might speak what the heart does not allow.
For the heart does not forget
and so, weeps in regret

Immune one self against previous faults.
Turn to stone and feel no more.

Live life, some say…
Should we not enjoy life
instead of just living?
Should we not stand tall
instead of crawling?
Or is this a matter of, at least you’re moving?

"No hollow gouged by Sorrow's awl, No cavern mined in great despair Is too deep for His love to fill, Too dark to see Him shining, fair." Never give up and do not stop feeling; pray that the hurt will do its work and make you a deeper vessel for God's use. Thanks for your visit to my poems.
