Mother

Joyful tears gently ran down your cheeks
as we are the same
Born unto a world I did not know
You being the one to hold me up still

You held me close, bringing hearts to meet
Oh, what a gentle greeting this was
feeling the love and tenderness you show to me
from inexperienced hands knowing exactly what instinct provides.

A more extensive love I cannot feel
for the most precious jewel you are to me.
Tremendous heart you show to me
the beauty of what life can be.

You brought me up to being me.
Now proud, daughter to you.
A greater love can not exist
as only love itself could love you more.

Priceless to me, most worthy you are
Most important beneath the stars
No more;
worries, struggles and work,
for now I fill these shoes of thanks.
Tears rising from all that you've been to me.

Oh, the joys you have brought to life.
I love you more dear mother,
than these words could ever portray.

Distant Thoughts

Sunlight shining through patient leafs
pleasing those whom urge for ease
Calm breeze feel my skin
recuperate me from what I've been
Soft the sand beneath my soles
halt me from antecedent faults
Where dawn winds whirled
my heart froze beneath dispute

But peaceful leafs and nature's song
calm me now, reigning my soul
Revive me Lord for Thou art;
the Father of nature and Father to me
Food for my soul Thou art to be
The pleasure of being naturally.

Thoughts In Silence

Thoughts in silence
We sit in terror of antecedent faults
a thought, a reminder, a prick of reality.
For the silence knows that we fear it.

Thoughts streaming through my mind,
in shame, in joy and in regret.
For time does not mend
what the heart has to carry.

A heart.

Like a mirror it reflects what you have become over years, once broken, it can be put together with a lot of trouble.
The function will change, as will you after the heart has suffered disappointment over and over, like a sore not having time to heal.

Scars do not go away.

The mind might speak what the heart does not allow.
For the heart does not forget
and so, weeps in regret

Immune one self against previous faults.
Turn to stone and feel no more.

Live life, some say…
Should we not enjoy life
instead of just living?
Should we not stand tall
instead of crawling?
Or is this a matter of, at least you’re moving?

First Love

There's something about the stars
that reminds me of you.
Old memories, same stars.
Our love declared, written in the stars.

Your eyes, your touch, your smile.
That same smile,
that made me happy...
if only for a while.

The heart moves on,
some say
though the rhythm of my heart
speaks only of you.

Your eyes, your touch, your smile.
You
engraved within my heart.

That last kiss left my heart turned to stone.
My heart will never beat the same
as it did when I was with you.

And now with you gone, memories haunt me
when I dare forget you.
Mistakes were made
though you were never one of them.

There's something about the stars
that holds me a slave to old memories.
Your eyes, your touch, your smile.
Oh, the beauty of first love.
