When I Think of You

All I feel when I think of you now is grief,
When you died it was like the tree had shed its last leaf.
I will never forget you and will never try,
Even though it was ages ago I still can not sleep until I’ve had my cry.
My love for you will never loosen nor fade away,
I still think of you every night and day.
You taught me what I needed to know,
I loved you so much and that will never go.
It may not have been real but you were always by my side,
You still are now even though you have died.
You may not have taught me everything you thought you should,
But you gave me the best thing that anyone ever could.
I never had my chance to say,
That without your love I would go astray.
So I am writing this as my goodbye,
I know your love will be with me until I die.
But until that happens I will remember you,
And as long as I am alive I will follow through with the things that you wanted me
to do.
